Meet Hayden. Children's Mercy Hospitals in KC called us and asked us to fulfil a dream for this sweet little 3-year-old boy, who suffered from neuroblastoma.
We picked up Hayden in a white stretch limo, eliciting a smile from him, despite his pain the morning of the trip. Hayden and his family ventured to Central Florida, where they stayed at the Animal Kingdom Resort, had access to all theme parks, and Give Kids the World. Hayden also got to see the ocean for the first time, and exclaimed that the day at the beach was "the best day of my life!"
Hayden passed away less than a month after returning from Florida. At his visitation, his grandmother repeatedly thanked the trip coordinator for giving Hayden some last moments of happiness.
